TOURNAMENTS
This year I qualified for the USTA Midwest Closed Tournament in Indianapolis by winning 4th place at the Northern Illinois Qualifier in the girl's eighteens. At the Midwest Qualifier I drew Jasmine Minor, the number one seed, in the first round and lost 6-1,6-1. I have played USTA since I was ten years old. I play and practice year round and want to have a career in tennis and take it as far as I can which means I'm willing to work very hard to make that happen. I also want to be around people who have that same dedication. Recently in a local non-sanctioned tournament I beat a local high school coach and her best player in women's doubles championship and then beat a former Southern Illinois University number one singles and doubles player in the women's championship. In July 2011 I beat three girls to win a USTA tournament in Plainfield ,one was a four star and another was a two star. My goal for this year is to be in the top 300 players in the country by years end. I have attended many college and professional tournaments . I've gone to the Cincinnati Professional tournament ten years in a row and spent four days there this year. If you would like to contact me my e-mail address is [email protected] and my phone number is 1-818-488-3104 .I have a College Tennis video on You-Tube . For seniors in Illinois in 2012 my SOS ranking is number five and my RPI ranking is number seven. Now that my high school career is finished I will begin playing USTA tournaments and practice every chance I get to improve on what I have accomplished so far. HIGH SCHOOL
I have won every Conference and Sectional championship I've entered. I won the Conference singles championship in 2010 beating a girl who was being recruited by MIT in the finals. I was the team captain my Senior year and my 2011 record was 34-6. My entire high school record was 132-33. I qualified for the State tournament as a Freshman in doubles and qualified for the State Tournament in singles in 2010 after winning the sectional singles title. I won my first round match at the State Tournament in 2010 and then lost to the 5-8 seed in the second round. I have always played at number one doubles or singles and have won every dual match played throughout my high school career. I am a member of the National Honor Society and have a 3.84 GPA. Recently I was designated an "Illinois State Scholar"and was chosen by the high school as social science student of the year. This year at the State tournament I lost to the number two USTA rated girl from the Middle Illinois section in the first round of the main draw and after winning my first match in the back draw they cancelled the rest of the back draw matches do to a rain delay which was upsetting.
