A Level 2 National was played on the 50-court Rome Tennis Center in mid-May. The championships were won by two Texans and two Tennesseeans. Unseeded Ella Brownback (Dallas, Texas) and No. 6 seed Woodson McMillin (Knoxville, TN) won the Girls and Boys 18s, respectively. Top seed Carlota Moreno (Knoxville, TN) won the G16s, while second-seeded Joshua Golden (Austin, Texas) took home the B16 trophy. Photographer Bill Kallenberg was on hand for the entire weekend to take photos of players from 25 states and Puerto Rico.

Delayed Start, Fast Finish for Junior Orange Bowl Champions
After a frustrating start to the 62nd Junior Orange Bowl International Championships, the prestigious tournament for 12s and 14s finished on time and under sunny skies at Salvadore Park and Biltmore Tennis Center last week. American Andrew Johnson, Jana Kovackova, Daniel Baranes and Jang Junseo were crowned champions.
