Kim has been ranked in her age group in USTA since the age of 10, and has consistently won aproximately 3 out of 5 matches each year in Northeast Ohio tournaments.
She also has both Midwest and National rankings as well.
In July of 2005 she was chosen to represent the Cleveland area in the International Childrens Games at the University of Warrick in England.

She was chosen for the Midwest Sportsmanship Award at 16 Zonal's in St. Louis Missouri in 2005.
In July of 2006 she was endorsed by the Midwest to play in Winston-Salem, N.C.
for the 16's Zone Team Championships
At the end of this fall season, she was given the USTA, NEO Sportsmanship Award for the Midwest region
