College Commitment Countdown: Zach Nicholson Full Speed Ahead by Julie Wrege, 4 April 2008
Located in Annapolis, Maryland, the US Naval Academy consistently offers one of the finest four-year educations available and the experience of a lifetime. The rich history and tradition of the institution led to a commitment from Zachary Nicholson (Bowie, MD).
"My decision came down to Navy,
Army, and
Maryland," said Nicholson. "I took official visits to Navy, Army and
Georgia Southern. Maryland is nearby and I checked it out on my own.
"On my visits I tried to learn as much as I could about student life there."
Most say that the "four years by the bay" are marked only by hard work and discipline. But Nicholson was not intimidated.
"At Navy, the student life is very different than most places, but I found myself enjoying it. The campus is beautiful and the atmosphere there made me want to be a part of it.
