Recruiting Update
Top Junior Prospect: Will Guzick

As we move towards April 12 and Signing Day, all eyes will be on the senior class and their college decisions. But over the next few weeks, we will peek ahead at the Class of 2007 - and profile some of the top prospects in the junior class.

Leading off our list of juniors is Blue Chip recruit Will Guzick (Greer, SC). Guzick is a well-rounded young man who seems to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to. Let's take a look...

  • Top player in the Boys' 16s? Check.
  • Led his high school to state championships? All four years.
  • Win a title at a big national tournament? Sure. Is a Gold Ball at the 2005 Easter Bowl big enough for you?
  • All A's in school with a perfect 1,600 on the SAT? Got that, too. And throw in 1st place finishes at a district spelling bee and state-wide math exam.

I could go on, but that would spoil the article. I had a chance to talk with Guzick about his play and his future.
