Michael Sun doesn't shrink from a challenge.
No matter how absurd it may seem, the 5-foot-7 Sun is willing to test his will against anyone.
Michael Sun Has Committed To Yale
“One of my best friend's sons plays basketball and is twice Michael's size. But Michael keeps talking trash to him and wanting to play one-on-one,” said Sun's coach, Les Smith. “He knows he has no shot, but that's just his nature. He will trash talk about it even if he knows he's not good.”
Sun's competitiveness has helped him excel in tennis and in the classroom. The five-star senior from Livingston, N.J., recently committed to Yale.
“I really liked my visit and really thought the guys on the team were a really great group of guys. I really liked how the coaches emphasized good sportsmanship and getting along on the team,” Sun said. “I feel like they didn't really care so much about wins and losses as they did about how you acted on the court and how you got along with your teammates.”
