Adeline Flach felt like she was in a race against the recruiting clock. Her family had just returned from nearly 12 months of living in France, and Flach was preparing for her junior year of high school.

“That was very tough college-wise. I was really starting from the bottom and had to work my way up,” Flach said. “There were times that I put too much pressure on myself because I knew I only had a certain amount of time and no one knows who I am.”
But as Flach’s ranking began to rise again, Division I college coaches took notice.
Auburn head coach Caroline Lilley and assistant coach Hadley Berg first spotted Flach at national clay courts this summer. Once Flach expressed interest in the school last month, they came to watch her practice.
The five-star senior from Alpharetta, Georgia arranged an official visit, and realized Auburn provided everything she wanted. Flach will be signing with the Tigers now that the signing period has opened this week.
"I just kind of knew. I love both of the coaches. They are in their first year and you could tell the vibe from the team was very energized and ready,” Flach said “It's just great playing at an SEC school and having that opportunity."
